Ignazio “Ig” Cuccia - Agency Principal/Owner
Ig has been licensed in the insurance industry since 1993. He has been married to Barb since 1999 and has 3 beautiful daughters. Ig graduated from Monroe County Community College with an Associates in Marketing and Siena Heights College in 1996 with his Bachelors in Business Admin/Finance.
He has been active in his Church and community, loves to Coach. He has coached from the T-ball level to Varsity High School Wrestling.
Kristie A. Long – Licensed Associate Producer
Kristie has been in the insurance industry her entire life. She loves working with her customers and considers it a privilege, as her customers become a part of her family. Kristie was born and raised in Upper Michigan and loves nature and spending time outdoors.
Kristie is an active member of her community. She is on the executive board and secretary for the Democratic Club of Taylor. She is also the secretary and member of the Ladies Auxiliary as well. She is a member of the American Legion and the VFW. A great passion of hers is organizing an adopt-a-family event every year and putting together luncheons for fallen members.
Frank G. Cuccia - Licensed Associate Agent
Frank is a lifelong resident of Monroe County, MI. He graduated from Monroe Catholic Central and received a bachelor's degree from Eastern Michigan University. Currently, Frank resides in Ida, MI with his wife Rita and son Bobby.
Frank enjoys outdoor summer activities, walks with his wife Rita, and college football in the fall.
Barbara J. Cuccia – Licensed Service Representative
Barb has been a licensed agent for over 7 years. She enjoys talking with all the clients with the hopes of helping them as much as possible.
Barb is married to Ignazio and together they have 3 teenage girls that always keep them busy. She enjoys baking and spending time with her family at their various extracurricular activities.
Leasa C. Slocum – Licensed Agent
Leasa has lived in Morenci since 2002 with her husband Art. They moved to Morenci from Midland, MI. Working at Rural Urban for the last 11 years, first in the service capacity for the former owner and now as an Agent / Office Manager has been a wonderful experience, there is never a dull moment.
Leasa loves to work on their old house and take little trips back to Midland to see her son Ej, daughter-in-law Brandy and grandson, Miles.
Derek S. Johnson – Agency Principal/Owner
Derek has been in the Insurance business since 2002. He started out “sweeping the floors” as they say at his Father’s small insurance agency in Adrian, MI. From those small beginnings, he has had the pleasure of protecting people, businesses, and futures with extraordinary care in the communities our agencies serve.
Derek enjoys pontoon rides with his wife and three daughters while enjoying the beauty of the Irish Hills scenery.
Justin R. Vance – Licensed Associate Agent
Born and Raised in Lenawee County, Justin is married to his beautiful wife Jessica and has 3 beautiful children: Lilly, Easton, and Deacon.
Justin enjoys watching sports with his family, vacationing, and coaching football in the fall.
Theresa M. McLeod – Licensed Service Representative
Theresa grew up in Wayne County, MI and began her 30 year insurance career in 1990. Theresa enjoys working with the insured and helping them with their insurance needs in a servicing capacity. She got her insurance license in 2010.
Theresa moved to Lenawee County with her husband Greg and their 2 children in 1994. They are grown and married now, and have blessed them with 5 grandchildren! Theresa’s favorite times are when her family is all together, as anytime with her family is the best time.
Theresa loves the ocean or lake and walking on the beach, roller blading, riding bikes, playing piano, corn hole (even though she isn’t very good), listening to music, and watching whatever sport either of the grandkids are playing. They really are her world. She loves her family and friends near and far and faith in God is the most important part of her life.
Dawn R. Johnson – Customer Service Representative
Dawn grew up in Indiana and Western Michigan and moved to Adrian in 1979. Along with her husband, she owned and operated “Floyd Johnson Insurance Agency” out of the basement of their first home for a few years. As time went by, Floyd (Sonny) expanded the business where his last location was on Sand Creek Highway in Adrian. For the last 15 years she worked as a customer service representative where Sonny retired at the end of 2011 and then handed the baton of ownership to their son, Derek, where the business was renamed DS Johnson & Associates, Inc. It has been a joy to serve the many customers they have had over the years and has truly made the business what it is today.
Dawn and Sonny spent many happy years going back and forth with their children to Florida and spending time with family there. She is known as “Gramma J” and this is what she LOVES:
Her four beautiful grandchildren who make her laugh and help her to see the real beauty of life; spending any kind of time with family and friends on the lake or the beach; cooking and baking; especially for the family; she loves any kind of loudly played music (rhythm and blues also jazz are her favorites); playing her out of tune piano with no audience; making blankets for the people she loves; Broadway plays ( Phantom of the Opera, a true favorite) and last, but certainly not least, hanging out with her dear friends and extended family doing yes, you guessed it: eating, laughing, shopping (not on-line) and back to eating, in that order. Oh, and there is the best of conversation with the laughing!
Carrie J. DeLucia – Agency IT Admin/Licensed Agent
Carrie has been a licensed insurance agent since 2009. She is a lifelong Monroe County resident, where she lives with her husband, Larry, and their three beautiful daughters, Anna, Lauren and Josephine. She graduated from St. Mary Catholic Central High School and then obtained her Associates Degree in Business Management from Monroe County Community College. From there, she went on to earn her Bachelor’s Degree from Siena Heights University in Business Management with a concentration in Marketing.
In her free time, Carrie loves to cook and bake, especially with her daughters, create craft projects, and spend time with her horse and 3 dogs. She is a lover of all sports, especially college sports and is always rooting for the Big 10!
